Jenny Spenwyn – Integrative Counsellor and Therapist
About Me
My name is Jenny, and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Therapist, as well as a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I am passionate about working with people, building meaningful therapeutic relationships, and offering focused, compassionate support. I studied Psychology before training as a Counsellor, and have since worked across a range of settings, including hospitals, schools, a hospice, charities, and private practice.
I have experience supporting clients with a variety of challenges, including life transitions, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, health conditions, anxiety, bereavement, loss, and trauma.
How I Can Support You on Your Journey
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, understood, and free from judgment. I accomplish this by offering a personalised and flexible approach tailored to your unique needs and goals, allowing you to work at your own pace. I deeply value individual diversity and uniqueness and strive to foster resilience while highlighting your strengths.
My integrative training includes Person-centred, Cognitive behavioural, and Gestalt approaches, alongside further specialist training in cancer support, bereavement, and trauma therapy. This allows us to work collaboratively to choose approaches that feel most helpful for you. If it feels right, I can also incorporate creative techniques and mindfulness into our work together.
Getting started
If you would like to explore how therapy with me might support you, you are welcome to get in touch via email at [email protected].
I offer a free 20-minute, no-obligation consultation via Zoom or telephone. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.
If you choose to continue, our first session will be a 50-minute initial assessment. This is a chance for us to get to know each other, explore what has brought you to therapy, and consider what you would like to focus on. We would then agree on a regular weekly session time.
I currently offer both online sessions via Zoom and face-to-face sessions at Space to Be You in Hackney, East London. The space is calm, comfortable, and private, with natural light and soundproofing to help you feel at ease.
Fees
My fee is £60 for a 50-minute session.
There is also the option to pay upfront for a block of 6 x 50-minute sessions (£330), which saves £5 per session.
