Ben White – Integrative Counsellor
About me
I came to therapy personally after reaching a point where my life felt out of control and no longer made sense. I knew I couldn’t continue on the path I was on. Therapy allowed me to find a way forward and to write a new, brighter future for myself. I hope that this is the kind of change I can support my clients to achieve.
I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, with asylum seekers and refugees, young adults in care, those wanting to change their behaviour around drugs and alcohol in the community, in rehab and within prisons. I currently manage a small team of counsellors who treat addiction and trauma in a residential setting.
I have a Masters degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling as well as qualifications in Trauma Focused CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention.
I also have a research background in problematic smartphone and social media usage and have experience supporting individuals change their behaviour around phone and social media usage.
