Anita Gaspar – Counsellor and Psychotherapist
I offer a respectful and confidential space in which to explore your life and talk about your current concerns. I will not give advice or judge you, but listen carefully and attempt, through my questions and reflections, to help you make sense of your situation and identify opportunities for change.
I obtained my Masters Degree and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at The Minster Centre, one of the oldest and most respected centres of training in the UK. As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I have been trained in a range of theories and approaches which I incorporate into my work. In practical terms, this means that I see every client as an individual and seek to find a way of working that feels right for each one. Some of the approaches and theories that influence my work are: existential, Jungian, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment and relational.
I have worked with clients of different ages and backgrounds, including many whose first language is not English. These are some of the issues that I have had experience of dealing with: life transitions, divorce, bereavement, relationship problems, difficult feelings, understanding family dynamics, anxiety, depression, loneliness, identity issues, feeling different, life crisis, low self-esteem, desire to understand dreams.
