I started my career working in the care industry, supporting adults with learning disabilities and young care leavers. I went onto work in NHS services with adults living with Chronic Pain and Children & Young People services prior to completing my Clinical Psychology Doctorate at the University of Hertfordshire. This course highlighted the importance of valuing the similarities and differences of people’s experiences and gave me the opportunity to work alongside children and adults in both community and hospital settings.
Since qualifying, I have been working in a Child and Adolescent NHS services in London, providing therapy to both children and their families. I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). Since qualifying, I have specialised in working with children, young people and families within an NHS and private setting.
I have been privileged to work alongside individuals that have experienced a range of emotional difficulties including anxiety and low mood and trauma. When working with people, I draw from my training in a number of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Narrative Therapy.
I will endeavour to provide a welcoming, empathic and non-judgemental space to help you feel comfortable and at ease. I put those I meet at the centre of the work and will support you to explore your goals for therapy, in order to find an approach that fits with you.
