A warm, intelligent and experienced Adult Humanistic Therapist and Teacher, I provide effective short and long-term counselling psychotherapy to individuals in person and online.
Competent and compassionate, with a good sense of humour, I have been privileged to witness extraordinary transformation in therapeutic relationships with a hugely diverse range of people both short and long term.
When the chemistry is right my clients and I often have a great time together working in a respectful and genuine way. It’s a joy to see lives changing for the better in the process.
Why have therapy?
In my view, it can be an enormous relief to face troubling feelings. Quality Therapy helps us understand ourselves more deeply, enabling positive change and identifying achievable pathways to a more fulfilling and authentic future.
Whatever’s on your mind, I can support you to make sense of it safely and move forward with greater understanding, confidence and even some ‘va-va-voom.’
Working with a neutral, trained, listener can safely help join the dots between your thoughts and feelings, creating fresh perspectives for the future and safely coming to terms with past events, even deeply traumatic ones.
What I offer
Naturally open-minded and non-judgemental I can work with almost anything you bring in a boundaried and confidential way. (If not, I will explain why and recommend someone else.)
Friendly and accessible, I view you as the expert and myself as a listening and reflective facilitator – nothing scary! Hopefully this approach will help you to feel OK sharing distressing stories or difficult feelings in the room.
Specialisms include recovery from depression and anxiety; bereavement support; helping gifted, high achieving and high-profile adults manage Imposter Syndrome, stress and mental health issues of all kinds and relationship concerns including coercive, toxic, obsessive, and controlling situations past or present.
I am very interested in the experiences of adult children of narcissistic parents and offer informed therapeutic support to those with ADHD and neuro diversity.
I also have a particular interest in LGBT+ matters including relationships, identity, sexuality and gender issues.
If you would like to find out how Therapy could help, please get in touch for an initial session.
Face to face: I work from Space To Be You therapy rooms in Hackney E8 4SA
Virtual: For stability and confidentiality my preferred platform is Zoom
Walk and talk: Some clients find that walking therapy is a productive addition to Zoom or face to face work; moving together with a shared focus in front of us offers an alternative dynamic with a sense of purpose and direction. Being out in the green spaces of Victoria Park helps us feel more connected to the wider world around us.
