I’m Joké Adejumo a level 5 qualified soft tissue massage therapist, focusing primarily in sports massage, remedial massage and traditional African techniques.
I offer a varied range of treatments including warm bamboo and sports massage. Having always lived an active lifestyle, competing in athletics, dancing, progression into bodywork and remedial advice felt like a natural evolution.
I originally trained as a designer in London and have worked for a number of years as a researcher, consultant and project manager within the creative industries. As my sedentary lifestyle grew, curiosity for better understanding of biomechanics and overall good physical alignment did too.
Through my practice I believe that massage therapy is open to all, no one is instantly disqualified. In a short amount of time, I have had great success treating people with a wide range of problems from postural related chronic pain, to acute issues relating to sports and external injuries. The aim being to improve your overall quality of life and general wellbeing.
I believe that in relieving soft tissue complaints and tension, it can provide the additional and necessary physical and mental space to focus on making continual positive changes.
I am a member of both the Federation of Holistic Therapists and Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage.
